Support Our Veterans

With the excitement around the election clashing against our economic mess, it’s easy to forget that there are other major pressing issues in our country, including the needs of the thousands of veterans from our current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Today is Veterans Day and it’s an opportunity for renewed focus on the ongoing needs of our military men and women who serve our country. We’ve been working with the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of American (IAVA) for nearly a year now as one of the lead campaign organizations for the Social Action campaign for our film, Charlie Wilson’s War (now available on DVD). IAVA led the fight for the successful passage of the new GI Bill earlier this year and the group continues to fight for better veterans benefits. Take action on Veterans Day by supporting IAVA’s efforts to ensure that returning veterans are given their full enlistment bonuses.

In addition to IAVA, HELP USA is providing critical social, medical, educational and psychological services to homeless veterans at 28 sites across the country. HELP USA needs your support to expand their services to veterans. Learn how you can get involved today.
